Nerium AD is night/day cream combination package that uses a proprietary NAE-8 extract as its key ingredient.

The Nerium Age-Defying Day Cream is a hydrating, daytime moisturizing cream that fights the appearance of skin discoloration, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and sagging on the face and neck. Some people even use it as a hand cream to address the signs of aging there as well.

The complimentary night cream sold along with it, offers a higher concentration of their patented NAE-8 extract and targets fine lines and wrinkles in addition to the aging signs listed above. Both products are non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.

The products are very easy to use and simply involve applying 4 pumps daily to freshly cleansed skin.

Browsing through their ingredient list uncovers a collection of plant extracts, collagen, elastin, and antioxidants. The name of the product comes from the use of nerium oleander leaf combined with a blend of aloe. While some people are quick to point out the toxicity of Oleander, it is important to note that it applies to oral consumption of the leaves and NOT topical application. There have been many online articles attempting to suggest the potential risks of using the product however as of this writing, none of them have been able to cite a single case involving any of their products. Clinical Study Results

It took some research to find the actual published study but it does exist and the results are respectable. In a study conducted by ST&T Research and completed in June of 2011, test subjects saw a 30% reduction in the appearance of deep wrinkles, 22% reduction in the look of emerging wrinkles, 20% in fine lines, and 25% reduction in the appearance of discoloration spots over the course of 2 weeks. My Experience

I really liked the day cream. It was very easy to work with and after a couple weeks, I could see what I thought was an improvement in the expression lines on my forehead and also the smile lines and wrinkles around my mouth. I had a little more trouble with the night cream. It has a thicker consistency and it takes a little work to get it to apply evenly and fully absorb before it starts to get sticky. I didn’t really care for the smell either. It wasn’t offensive, just noticeable and not something I wanted to use every night, right before I went to bed. With that being said, it does work and I could see some lightening in the look of some discolored areas.

My Noteworthy Results

Here’s what I saw when I tried the Nerium AD Night and Day Creams:

  • The day cream had a nice consistency and works well as a moisturizer
  • The night cream was a little tacky when I applied it and I didn’t care for the smell
  • The day cream seemed to minimize my forehead lines and soften the look of the wrinkles around my smile lines.
  • I felt that the night cream did lighten the appearance of some skin discoloration.
